Czech football champions choose GreenFields top product

Sparta Prague, also known as AC Sparta Praha, is one of the most prominent and successful football clubs in the Czech Republic.

The club has produced many talented players over the years, some of whom have gone on to have successful careers at international levels. Notable players who have represented Sparta Prague include Tomáš Rosický, Patrik Schick and Adam Hložek.

GreenFields’ partner A Sport Produkt installed a GreenFields MX Elite pitch (60 mm with sand and EPDM) at their training facility in the Strahovský Stadium last summer. This is a historic sports complex known for its impressive size and capacity, which occupies a vast area, covering approximately 63,500 square meters. At its peak, the stadium had a seating capacity of around 220,000 spectators, making it the largest sports stadium in the world in terms of capacity.

Nowadays the stadium is used for Sparta Prague’s training grounds. The woven MX Elite pitch, located in one of the corners of the huge sports complex, hosts trainings of youth teams as well as youth matches. During wintertime the pitch is also used by Sparta’s first team, the 2022/2023 Champions of the Czech First League.
